Backend Engineer – Platform & APIs

Overview

Be responsible for core services that drive listings, logistics integrations, and customer dashboards. Develop reliable APIs that can scale seamlessly with business growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs and data workflows
• Integrate with external platforms (marketplaces, shipping, identity)
• Optimise latency, caching, and data models for scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with Frontend and Product teams for delivering new features

Qualifications

• Proficiency in a contemporary backend stack (Go/Python/Node/Java)
• Solid SQL/NoSQL design expertise; experience with queues/streams would be an advantage
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, CI/CD, and monitoring tools
• Practical approach to testing and code reviews

Compensation Package

Competitive salary range of USD $140,000—$220,000, along with equity and performance incentives.
